Maison de la Créativité

Maison de la Créativité is an incredible space for children from 0 up to the age of 8. You will find it by the tpg number 8 bus stop called Calandrini. This old Swiss mansion is set back from the main road and overlooks fields, the river Arve and the Salève.

Every Wednesday (and some Saturdays and school holidays), Maison de la Créativité opens it’s doors and invites children to explore different rooms, themes, tasks and crafts. You could fill up hours of time exploring the rooms (which change regularly), from arts and crafts, dressing up, painting, building, reading, playing, mazes, sensory play and music, your child (and you!) will be entertained for hours.

Another great thing about this place: the price! Free for under 2s, 3 chf for children over 2 or adults for half a day and 5 chf for a full day. It’s not often you can get such a bargain in Geneva, but this certainly is!

I ventured there with Jack and his Grandparents on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are excellent. There is also a nice outdoor play area for sunnier days. The majority of the children there were a lot older than our 4 month old baby, but nevertheless we did see some other babies there (one was only 2 weeks old!) and we found some nice things for Jack to get involved with.
