We love swimming in the lake. Luckily, there are so many beautiful spots along the lake shores of Lac Leman. We were keen to try somewhere new and we headed to the little village of St-Prex in Vaud (around 45 minutes on the train from Geneva).
On arrival at the train station, we headed straight towards the church overlooking the village, lake and mountains.

St-Prex has a beautiful location; the panoramic view of the mountains is spectacular and this medieval old town is filled with charming buildings.
After exploring the old town, we headed straight to the lake shore (alongside Avenue de Taillecou) where we set up camp. There are free deck chairs available to use and a large grassy area with shade from the trees. Public toilets are also available there.
The beach is pebbly and the water is clear. There was even a platform to swim out to. We all enjoyed a swim in the lake. This was Jack’s first dip in Lake Geneva! It was such a beautiful, calm and peaceful setting. Perfect for families or just a lovely place to chill out and read a book!
