Rolle is only 25 minutes by train from Geneva; why had we never been before?! This beautiful village next to the lake is the perfect place for a day out with your little one.
The lake front is stunning and there is a lovely, wide and flat path (perfect for pushchairs) with spectacular views of the mountains and Lac Leman. We wandered along the lake front and came to Château de Rolle, which is a beautiful Swiss castle on the shores of the lake.

We continued walking, through Rolle campsite, until we reached plage de Rolle. This beach was amazing; very baby friendly with lots of shade, grass and a play area. It also had great access to the lake for swimming, via a small beach or steps. We had a great swim there!

After all that swimming we were ready for lunch and we walked back towards Rolle and found a lovely Italian restaurant (Restaurant Terrace) overlooking the lake and the Île de la Harpe. It was a very baby friendly restaurant and they provided a high chair and great pizzas for us!
After lunch, we decided it was time to explore the vineyards above Rolle. We walked up Route de la Vallee towards Mont sur Rolle, which is a village amongst the vineyards above Rolle and the lake. We then walked a 6km circular route called Parcours des Cepages.

This footpath was completely pushchair and wheelchair friendly and offered spectacular views across the vineyards and over the lake and mountains. Half way through the walk there was a panorama lookout point with information about the different mountains. We really enjoyed this walk, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that some of the vineyards were open! We stopped at Domaine de Montbenay, which was in a beautiful setting. The owners were very friendly and we sampled their wines and bought their chasselas and rose wines.
