Hermance

I’m sure I don’t even need to tell you if you live in Geneva, but Hermance is a lovely place to visit with children.

Located only 20 minutes from the centre of Geneva (by car or bus), this pleasant village has beautiful architecture and many restaurants. It’s lake shore location makes it a lovely spot to spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach in any season (these pictures are from an Autumn visit in mid-October).

The best thing for kids is the great play area and sand pit, located on the beach. There is an entry fee of a few francs in the summer, but in the other seasons, the beach is free. Our son can spend hours with his diggers in the sand and climbing on the climbing frames. You can take a picnic and spend the day there when the weather is good.
