If you’re bored of the same old parks in Geneva, why not head just over the border to Parc des Ecureuils in Ville-la-Grand, France. This park has been beautifully designed with lawns, footpaths, water features, picnic spots and play areas.

The park itself is fully enclosed and there are opening hours – see here for more details, but the entry is free and it is a pleasant way to spend a morning or afternoon with your little ones. There are toilets available and there are a few car parking areas just off Rue Fernand David.

Our son loved scooting around and playing on the climbing frames. A particular highlight for him is that a train line runs alongside the park and he was able to see trains whizzing by. He also loved the stepping stones over the water onto small islands.
