Our son was born at the HUG. We had a brilliant experience there and as when we went home, they gave us a voucher to take him swimming at Bains de Cressy (a hospital owned spa in Onex).
On a rainy Sunday afternoon in January we decided to take Jack for his first swim there. The usual entry cost is 24 chf per adult and free for babies. The baths were busy with children and babies; people must have had the same thought as us! We were impressed with the family changing rooms. They were very spacious and complete with a baby changing table.
The water in the main pool is 34 degrees which is great for little babies. We saw and spoke to a few other parents taking their little ones for their first swim. We all enjoyed swimming/bobbing around in the water, but needless to say, after 30 minutes or so our baby had had enough and it was time to get out.
Jack loved his first swimming experience and we will be taking him as much as we can – especially on rainy days! Although we already can’t wait to take him in the lake in the summer
