Gymboree

Our search for baby groups in English continued and we tried Gymboree in Grand Saconnex (they also have branches in Basel and Nyon). We were able to go to a taster session with another baby and learn about this play space. 

There were classes for all ages and we signed up for the 0-6 month ‘baby sensory’ class. This is a 45 minute class where we sing songs with the babies, listen to music, practice tummy time, dance, play with puppets, roll and importantly talk to other parents and carers about everything from sleep patterns to swimming classes to feeding and child care. 

When you sign up for a class you are also given access to the play equipment at specific times in the week according to their timetable. This would be especially good for slightly older babies and children, particularly on a rainy day! You can also hold birthday parties there. We were impressed by the facilities in this bright and spacious building.
